Duet with Dusan Vlahovic on the Juventus Front Line

Alvaro Morata partnered with Dusan Vlahovic on the front lines of Juventus when his team won 2-0 over Hellas Verona in the 2021-2022 Italian League. Morata admitted that he was happy to be able to partner with the new Juventus striker.

Playing at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (7/2/2022), the Bianconeri – nicknamed Juventus – played in a different strategy than usual. The coach, Massimiliano Allegri, played in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Morata and Vlahovic up front supported by Paulo Dybala.

As a result, Vlahovic was able to score his debut goal in the 13th minute after receiving a through ball from Dybala. Meanwhile, Morata provided an assist for another debutant, Denis Zakaria, who scored the second goal of the match.

In addition to these two goals, Morata and his Serbian duo also produced other opportunities that threatened Verona’s goal. In fact, their combination almost resulted in Vlahovic’s second goal if his flick was not wide on the side of the goal.

Getting a positive first impression with Vlahovic, Morata said he was happy. According to him, they can work well together so that they appear slick in front of Juventus.

“I’m happy, we are working well together, so is Dybala. We have to keep trying so we can do even better,” Morata said, quoted by Football Italia, Monday (7/2/2022).

Of course, these remarks show that Morata does not feel left out with Vlahovic’s presence. He is actually happy to be able to bring the Bianconeri to victory and return to the Champions League zone.

If the Morata-Vlahovic-Dybala trio continues to perform well and help Juventus win, it is not impossible for the Bianconeri to solidify their position in the Champions League zone. Now, Juventus is in fourth position with a collection of 45 points.

In addition, Vlahovic himself has been doing very well this season. He came from Fiorentina with a dowry of 70 million euros (approximately IDR 1.2 trillion) as the second top scorer in the Italian League with a collection of 18 goals.

A total of 17 goals were made by Vlahovic for Fiorentina, while the most recent was created for Juventus. Vlahovic is expected to score more goals for Juventus.
