Manchester United managed to conquer Norwich City with a 4-0 landslide score in the English Premier League match at Old Trafford on Saturday (11/1).
Manchester United managed to lead 1-0 in the first round through Marcus Rashford’s goal in the 27th minute. Rashford’s goal could not be separated from the foresight of Juan Mata.
The Spanish midfielder saw a gap in the Norwich defense and sent a cross into the penalty box with his left foot. The ball landed smoothly in front of Rashford who easily conquered Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul from close range.
In the first round, Manchester United still showed a lot of mistakes in the pattern of the game, including in terms of passes in the opponent’s penalty box.
Entering the second half, Manchester United was able to stomp and score two quick goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Rashford scored the second goal of the match with a penalty in the 52nd minute.

Three-goal advantage does not make Manchester United complacent. They continue to press the Norwich defense which has difficulty developing. The fourth goal was finally created by substitute Mason Greenwood in the 76th minute.
Greenwood, who just five minutes into the field, kicks off his left foot from outside the penalty box. The ball slides into the lower left corner without being able to reach by Krul.

In this match, Juan Mata made an important contribution. He made two assists for goals created by Rashford and Martial.
Solskjaer was pleased with the results achieved by his team. “We are starting to move forward. When you can go, I’m sure your opponent is talking about Manchester United as a team that works very hard, that’s what I want from my team,” he said.
“In every match in the Premier League, you have to take advantage of your pressure and dominance. The second half was very good,” said Solskjaer.
Regarding the appearance of Marcus Rashford, Solskjaer said, “Marcus reached 200 matches very quickly, an extraordinary effort. He passed most of the match, struggling, so we let him go. He was calm.”
Manchester United won after losing 2-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the 21st week of the English League, January 2 last.
“We reacted today, we can bounce back, and we take more than two or three steps forward before returning because we know behind the back we do a good job,” he said.
In the next match, Manchester United will play at home to Liverpool on the 19th January.
