English Premier League Results: Tottenham Beat Arsenal 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 2-1 in the north London derby in Week 35 of the English Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (12/7).

Arsenal managed to excel first when the match lasted 17 minutes. Alexandre Lacazette hard kick from outside the penalty box into the upper right corner of the goal into the net goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Arsenal excellence only lasted two minutes. Back pass error Sead Kolasinac which actually leads to Son Heung-min was not wasted by the South Korean player to break into the Arsenal goal and make the score 1-1.

The Lilywhites then came close to winning 2-1 if Ben Davies’ long-range shot did not hit the Arsenal crossbar in the 30th minute.

Two minutes later it was Arsenal’s turn to threaten. Nicolas Pepe fired a curling shot that was thin on the right side of goalkeeper Lloris.

Near the end of the first half, the dominance of the game held by Arsenal. Two opportunities were obtained through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shot and Pepe’s shot which still did not bear fruit and the score 1-1 lasted until the first half ended.

Entering the second half, Arsenal have the opportunity to get back ahead in this fight. Aubameyang stood free after receiving Lacazette’s pass but Aubameyang’s left-footed shot from inside the penalty box just hit the goal post.

After that opportunity Arsenal and Tottenham struggled to create chances to score goals. The moment to score a new goal came for Tottenham in the 71st minute.

Son almost scored the second goal in this match. It’s just that Son’s efforts from inside the penalty box can still be defeated by Martinez.

Aubameyang returned to the opportunity to break into the opponent’s goal. His kick that led to the far post could still be defeated by Lloris in the 79th minute.

In the 81st minute, Tottenham excelled for the first time in this match. Toby Alderweireld’s header made use of Son’s corner kick into Martinez’s goal.

Alderweireld’s goal was the last in this match and Tottenham ended the victory with a score of 2-1 over the Gunners.
