Spain succeeded in becoming champions of Euro 2024 after winning the match against England with a score of 2-1. The Spain vs England match in the Euro 2024 final will take place at the Olympiastadion, Berlin, Germany, on Sunday (14/7/2024).
Spain took the lead first via a goal from Nico Williams (47′). Yamal provided an assist or pass that led to a goal for Nico Williams. England then equalized through Cole Palmer (73′). After that, Mikel Oyarzabal emerged as the person who ensured Spain’s victory through a goal in the 86th minute.
Sadly, England have not yet been able to complete their thirst for a major title. Under Southgate, England have reached consecutive European Cup finals (previously Euro 2020) as well as the 2018 World Cup semifinals and the last eight of the 2022 World Cup. However, England is the first team to experience consecutive defeats in the Euro final.

- Spain broke the record for most goals scored by one team in one edition of the Euro competition. Overall, Spain scored 15 goals at Euro 2024.
- Spanish player, Lamine Yamal, became the youngest player to appear in the Euro 2024 final after appearing at the age of 17 years and 1 day.
- Lamine Yamal also became the youngest footballer to play in the final of a major tournament. He surpassed the record of Brazilian legend Pele, who played in the 1958 World Cup final at the age of 17 years, 249 days.
