Even though Chelsea was held by Nottingham Forest 2-2, Frank Lampard still praises these 2 Blues players

Chelsea failed to win after being held by Nottingham Forest 2-2 in the 2022-2023 Premier League continuation. Despite not being able to win, Frank Lampard as Chelsea coach still gave praise to Raheem Sterling and Trevoh Chalobah.

As is known, Chelsea had to settle for being held by Nottingham Forest 2-2. The match took place at Stamford Bridge, London, England, on Saturday (13/5/2023).

Two Chelsea goals were recorded by Raheem Sterling (51′ and 58′). Meanwhile, two Nottingham Forest goals were scored by Taiwo Awoniyi (13′ and 62′).

Even though he failed to win, Frank Lampard still praised the two Blues players – the nicknames of Chelsea, Raheem Sterling and Trevoh Chalobah. According to him, the two players performed well in the match against Nottingham Forest.

“Seeing him score it was like Raheem arriving for the cross and then that individual brilliance to score the second goal,” said Frank Lampard, quoted by ANTARA, Monday (15/5/2023).

“So I’m really happy for him and that’s what we need at the top end of the pitch,” he added.

On the other hand, Frank Lampard praised Trevoh Chalobah who appeared good at Chelsea’s back line. Lampard assessed that the English passport player was able to show brilliant performance as a defender.

“Trevoh played a very good game. He’s amazing the way he plays when you ask him to do something. He defended well. Physically he is great,” said Lampard.

With this draw, Chelsea still has not moved from 11th place in the 2022-2023 Premier League standings with 43 points from 35 matches. The Blues are now collecting the same points as Crystal Palace who are in 12th place.
