Liverpool continue to strengthen squad in the transfer market this summer. After bringing Fabinho, Naby Keita, and Xherdan Shaqiri, the Reds broke the record of goalkeeper transfers worth 75 million euros while recruiting Alisson Becker from AS Roma.
Allegedly the transfer of Liverpool has not stopped. As long as there is still a chance to hook a new player, Liverpool will do so to end the fasting Premier League title last achieved in 1990 – before then still called First Division.
One alternative way that is used to recruit players is teasing him, by leveraging the closeness of the relationship with the players who are in the club. Fabinho could be a “weapon” for Liverpool.
Kylian Mbappe’s charm after the title of World Cup 2018 increasingly brilliant. Now Mbappe is being persuaded by former AS Monaco team-mate Fabinho to move to Liverpool.
Fabinho had already moved to Liverpool for £40 million in May. He became the third player who recruited by Liverpool. The Reds have also brought Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker for thi season. Brazilian defensive midfielder claimed to get congratulations from Mbappe.
“Mbappe gave me a message congratulating me for moving to Liverpool, I have not had time to congratulate him after winning the 2018 World Cup,” said Fabinho quoted from Telegraph.
“What Mbappe has done in the last two years are incredible, he’s a new phenomenon and needs to be congratulated. After i have a chance, I’ll congratulate him,” continued Fabinho.
Mbappe has stated he wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain after his contract has been extended by the Ligue 1 defending champion. But, Fabinho still trying to persuade the 19-year-old attacker to move to Liverpool.
“Mbappe has said that next season he will stay at PSG but I will try to convince him to come to Liverpool,” said Mbappe.
Mbappe follow Neymar’s step is also committed to stay in PSG this season. Real Madrid are very eager to bring both of them this season.
A mission that seems difficult for Fabinho. However, nothing is impossible in football. Despite the fact, Liverpool now have a trio of death on the front lines consisting of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah.
Two former Fabinho teammates in AS Monaco, Bernando Silva and Benjamin Mendy, are now playing in the English Premier League with Manchester City. Fabinho claimed to have spoken with both Man City players.
“I say, even though we are friends, but when on the pitch I might be a bit tough against them, I’m glad they played in England too and we can live close together. Outside the field we are friends, but it’s different if inside the field,” Fabinho added.
Mbappe himself was later linked with a move to Real Madrid as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who left for Juventus.
