Fabio Quartararo Is under Pressure Following in the Austrian GP

The thirteenth round of the 2022 MotoGP season is scheduled for next weekend at the Austrian Red Bull Ring Circuit.

Monster Energy Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo began to emerge as the favourite for the 2022 MotoGP world title, but since his mistake and DNF at the Motul TT Assen and his less strong performance at Silverstone over a week ago.

With Bagnaia in shape, team-mate Jack Miller fresh off the podium, Jorge Martin who has already won at the Red Bull Ring, Enea Bastianini who showed his power again at Silverstone.

Aprilia is another team that keen to keep the pressure on Quartararo. In ninth place, Aleix Espargaro did not manage to take maximum advantage of the less well-performing Frenchman in Silverstone.

The Spaniard even lost one point but had a good excuse for this as he had to race the qualifying as well as the warm-up and race with a broken heel after a big high sider on Saturday afternoon during the fourth free practice.

However, Aprilia did hold its own at Silverstone, Espargaro’s team-mate Maverick Vinales put the other Aprilia on the podium with a second place finish.

Suzuki will also want more at the Red Bull Ring. The Suzuki is often in good shape and Joan Mir even more so, as the Austrian circuit was the scene of his first win in the premier class.
