Ferrari are ready to fight the big points after long break

Ferrari SF70H is much more competitive than their precursors, with the Scuderia winning four wins in the first half of the 2017 season againts three in the 2014 to 2016 campaigns.

Definitely, the Italian’s car has become a source of inspiration for their rivals during this season, and it is far from disturbing the standings leader Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.

When asked by journalists, Vettel admitted that his team were not the best in recent years but it’s much better than before now.

“It’s a fact that in recent years we didn’t have the best car, and it’s a fact that in recent years we were not the best in development but by comparison, it’s different this year, and we keep moving forward.” Vettel said.

“We’ve made a lot of changes, we’ve seen a lot of people copy our own, but it’s a good sign, it’s a testament to all the hard work and everything we’ve done for this hard project.” he added.

However, Ferrari is not always at the top of the standings. On the first 11 Grand Prix of the season, with Scuderia taking the lead in Russia, Monaco, and most recently in Hungary Grand Prix.

To win the title, it is not only a question of having a fast car, but of having the fastest, and finding more constancy.

“We were competitive on all the series we went,” Vettel said. “It’s true that Mercedes was more competitive here and there we were slightly behind, and it is normal that there are small differences from one circuit to the other. Others, so it’s the same for the car.

“It’s okay, but it’s not our goal. We want to be the best on all the circuits, but we’re not. Understanding what the car needs. Now we have time to study a few items with a littlemore calm and try to progress.” The German driver added.

Vettel is currently at the top of F1 standings with 202 points, 14 points ahead of Mercedes’ Lewsi Hamilton so far. And he hopes to keep up the momentum.

“The team is in much better form this year, and if we have the right results, we have a virtuous circel, and it’s up to us to continue like this.” Vettel said.

“A good car and we have improved the engine a lot, so everything is going in the right direction and I am confident that we will be there and we will fight for the big points.” he added.
