Ferrari is going to commemorate their legendary rider Michael Schumacher on his 50th birthday on January 3. Schumacher is the champion of F1 car racing world for 7 times which five of them, he won with the Ferrari team.
He is now undergoing treatment at his home after an accident while skiing in the Alps in 2013. Since then, he has disappeared from the public. Michael Schumacher’s half-century anniversary was marked by an exhibition held at the Ferrari museum in Maranello. The exhibition was held in collaboration with the Keep Fighting Foundation, a foundation founded by the Schumacher family, two years ago. “This exhibition is at the same time as his birthday celebration and also marks the greatness of the best racer the prancing horse has ever had,” said a Ferrari statement.
The German rider’s racing career stretched from 1996 to 2006. He became world champion with the Ferrari team five times from 2000 to 2004. Together with Schumacher, Ferrari also won the best manufacturing title six times. This exhibition will show the public about Schumacher’s contribution as a rider, as well as a consultant for Ferrari.
This December 29 will mark five years since Michael Schumacher sustained a serious brain injury after a skiing accident in the French Alps and it’s now believed he is no longer bed-ridden following extensive £50,000 a week healthcare costs. Schumacher is believed to be receiving medical care at the family home in Switzerland but his condition is being kept private at the request of his wife, Corinna. However, Schumacher was reported in September of 2017 to have scheduled for transportation in secret to Dallas, Texas for treatment at a neurological clinic. One likely candidate is the Neurotherapy Center of Dallas, which touts treatment for sports injuries on its website.
The Schumacher family is known to own land in the area, having bought a 200-hectare ranch outside Dallas in 2012. If Michael Schumacher is to receive treatment in Texas, he might reside here while care continues. We can only hope that regardless of where he recovers that he has the sentience to watch the budding racing career of his son Mick, who looks ready to follow in his father’s Ferrari footsteps.
