FIFA Ballon d’Or , finalist!

As you all have known by now, that FIFA has finalized the three contenders of Ballon d’Or. Out of 32 finalists the lucky ones are, the Portuguese magician, dodging master ,the handsome heartbreaking machine Cristiano Ronaldo; ever since I saw him in 2006 world cup quarter final against England. And the tactics he used against then club mate Wayne Rooney.  My heart was already taken away by this lad.

There has always been a great debate on who is the greatest current footballer in the world. Aye Aye Lionel Messi , my Messi , yes the rivalry has always between The Ronaldo and The Messi .the two giants of today football, both of them are poles apart representing two The best clubs of the world Real Madrid and FC Barcelona , respectively. Their presence has led their Spanish clubs to vivacious victories and as well taking La Liga to the top of football leagues. Well the question might come to the feeble football watchers, who are not that analytic while watching 90 minutes game that if the world’s best footballers play in world’s best clubs and these clubs represent the best league of the world. Then why on earth Spain got roll away roll away from thy FIFA World Cup 2014 held in highly alerted Brazil? As I told earlier, that this question only arise in a naiveté football watcher brain. So I am not going to answer this foolish question.

Well coming back towards the notion. The third lucky star is the charming Manuel Neuer, yes you get it right. The man who stands to defend the net and stops the ball. Not only he stops the ball but he make the opponents go dead in Nano seconds that how come he dived like that and swept the ball in his hands, safely. The German national team goalkeeper who rose to prominence, when FC Shalke came out of nowhere in the knockout stages of Champions League in 2010/2011. He led his team to the podium to hold the FIFA World Cup trophy 2014 against Argentina. He went home with a Golden Glove. This year he has been awarded the German Footballer of the year. He gave his vote to Bayern Munich over highly speculated move offer made by Manchester United and few other clubs. His coming into finalist is being regarded as a good motion by world football. After the emergence of FIFA Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or. it is a first time that a goal keeper has made it to final three.

Well these are the few highlights of the final three. We will be putting light on each of them, their success stories and how they came to stage, they are today. Until then keep watching UEFA Champions League final matches, coming in this week.

P.S: this year an Honorary Ballon d’Or has been awarded to greatest footballer of all time Pele. He has taken FIFA World Cup trophy to Brazil thrice but has never been lucky enough to take home an award for himself. As in the time of his playing career, only European players were eligible for original Ballon d’Or.
