An interesting statement was issued by Florentino Perez. The Real Madrid president indicated that he was interested in using Jurgen Klopp’s services as his team’s coach in the future.
This season Real Madrid have made two coach changes. Zinedine Zidane finally returned to the Santiago Bernabeu after El Real’s management fired Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari who appeared disappointing when gushed Sergio Ramos and colleagues this season.
Zidane’s return to the Santiago Bernabeu did not have an instant impact on the El Real squad. The team nicknamed Los Blancos tend to appear less stable in recent months.
Zidane himself was given a three-year contract when he returned to the Bernabeu yesterday. But it does not rule out the possibility that he could leave faster if his job is not satisfactory as seen in the last few months.
On this occasion, Perez expressed his admiration for the two coaches who are currently working in England, namely Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino.
Perez assessed the two coaches had proven their class by bringing their respective teams, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League Final this season.
“Klopp and Pochettino are phenomenal coaches and you can see that from the work they do,” Perez told Onda Cero.
Perez himself stressed that in the near future his team would still fully support Zinedine Zidane to sign the Los Blancos ship.
But Perez opened the opportunity for the German coach to try his luck at the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.
“I have never tried to bring them both [Klopp and Pochettino], but that does not mean we will not try to recruit them in the future.” he said.
