Former Worlds Winner Now Returns to T1 as a Streamer

Bae Junsik or better known as Bang, is now back at T1 to enliven the success of the esports team. Not as a pro player, but Bang will be present as a talent streamer who will show off his gameplay under the name of T1 in 2025.

He was on hiatus in 2021 with the longest career record in esports for nine years. Bang hung up his T1 jersey in 2022 after lifting the Worlds trophy with T1 as the best marksman at that time. He will return to playing League of Legends as a streamer with his duo lane partner Wolf for now.

This is not Bang’s first time returning to T1 as a streamer. Having experienced his career as an Afreeca Freecs streamer or known as SCOOP in 2025, Bang announced the termination of his contract with the platform in May 2023.

The temporary hiatus took place after Bang announced his marriage to an LCK translator, Jeesun, after his contract ended with Scoop. After enjoying his married life, Bang finally returned to T1 as a streamer in 2025.

Until now, T1 has had various rosters of streamers including Wolf, Boxer, Untara, Headory, Flame, Bunny, GBM, Dohyeon, and Bang himself. Uniquely, T1 had recruited Tyler1, an iconic American streamer who spent his time this decade streaming on SCOOP and Twitch under the name of T1.

Bang is a League of Legends pro player who started his career in 2012 under the auspices of the Najin Sword esports team. Played in Xenics Blast in 2013 and started his career with T1 at the end of that year. Bang spent his time with T1 by lifting the LCK trophy four times, MSI twice, and Worlds twice, which made him the most memorable pro player in League of Legends history.

Junsik also appeared in teams outside Korea, namely 100 Thieves, and Evil Geniuses which were part of the LCS. However, due to language and chemistry problems, Bang did not perform as well as he did when playing with Faker and friends in South Korea.
