Frank Lampard’s Promised To Get Chelsea Out of Trouble

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is in the spotlight because his team’s performance is slumping. Although the threat of dismissal awaits Lampard, he is determined not to give up and get Chelsea out of trouble.

Lampard is listed as a legendary West London club. He collected 211 goals during his 13 years as a Chelsea player from 2001 to 2014.

However, that does not guarantee Lampard will survive the dismissal. The reason is, he is considered to have failed to meet the team’s target to bring the Blues to compete for the championship in the Premier League this season. Chelsea are scattered in eighth place and 11 points behind Manchester United at the top of the standings.

In fact, he has already spent £ 253 million (Rp.4.8 trillion) to bring in new players such as Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell.

However, Lampard was reluctant to give up. He still believes he can get his fleet back on track.

“I am a fighter first and foremost. That’s how I managed to make a career outside the game as a player. I am the manager of the club I love. When I pack up, I can really get out of football,” he said, quoted by The Sun, Saturday. (23/1/2021).

“I like the fact that there are tough times and you are fighting to get out of it, and I included the players too. It’s the best feeling in football. “The best feeling you can possibly have,” he said.

“It’s not going to be 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 that will win the games we need in the short term. It will be the desire, desire and teamwork, “he said again.

Apart from being the club’s all-time top scorer, Lampard has also won all domestic and European honors in his 13 years as a Chelsea player. However, now the three-year contract that binds him is in danger of being terminated if he fails to restore the club’s form.

That moment can be obtained when Chelsea serve the Championship club, Luton Town, in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday (24/1/2021).

“As a player I wonder, ‘What were the difficult times like a manager? How is the difference between the responsibilities of a manager and a player? ” he said.

“I wonder what hard times were like. And that’s fine. It is what it is. You have to go to management who want to handle the pressure, want to handle success with a humble attitude at all times, “he said.
