Gareth Bale believed that he is unhappy a lot after being left on the bench for Real Madrid’s Champions League tie with Juventus on April 4. He was not included in Zinedine Zidane’s side starting XI against Juventus.
However, Madrid manager Zidane told that he understood the situation of his star. He admits Bale is an important player and would like to be playing more regularly at Real Madrid.
“I understand that he is not in a good mood, that’s normal.” Zidane told a news conference after 1-1 draw at home in Madrid derby on Sunday night.
“Players want to play in every game. We know what a good player he is and what he has done. I have to take decisions but if he doesn’t play two games it doesn’t mean anything. I still think he’s an important player.
“He didn’t warm up because someone has to make these decisions and another player came on but that that is the past now and we have another game tomorrow and he’s as prepared as anyone else.” Zidane added.
The Wales forward hasn’t played since the end of September last year and missed Champions League matches against Tottenham Hotspur since suffering a calf injury.
This season he’s made 17 appearances in Spanish La Liga for the Los Blancos and scored 11 goals and 2 assist. He also made only two appearances in Champions League scored one goal and 2 assist.

However, Bale has been linked to Premier League in recent months. According to report, the 28-year-old forward could be sold by Madrid, who could use his fee to reinvest in new recruits in this summer.
“My sensation is that he will stay but I don’t know everything that will happen. He won’t lose any motivation, he’s like the rest of the squad.” Zidane said.
“It’s my job to try and make sure he plays as well as always. He’s an important player bt others played against Juventus and did very well. That’s football.” Zidane added.
Madrid welcome Juventus on Wednesday for the second leg their Champions League and they hoped go all the way and win the title for the third time under their manager Zidane this season.
