The Georgian national team and the Czech Republic national team dueled at the Volksparkstadion on matchday 2 of Group F Euro 2024, Saturday, 22 June 2024. The Georgia vs Czech match ended with a score of 1-1.
Georgia opened the scoring through Georges Mikautadze’s penalty in the 45+4 minute. The Czechs responded through Patrik Schick’s goal in the 59th minute.

Trailing 0-1 in the first half, the Czechs were only able to respond in the 59th minute. From a corner kick, the Czech player’s header only hit the crossbar. Schick was in the right place at the right time. The ball bounced off his chest and into the goal.
Nine minutes after scoring the equalizer, Schick appeared to be injured. He was withdrawn, and his position was replaced by Mojmir Chytil.
