Germany’s Bundesliga is Back to Action

The first European League competition to return after the vacuum of the corona virus is the Bundesliga. This was confirmed after receiving the approval of the German Government.

The green light from this Government prompted the German Football League (DFL) to decide that the Bundesliga season would resume on May 15, 2020. Although this competition would take place without spectators at the stadium.

With this football competition back in Germany it is hoped that it can open opportunities for similar competitions in Italy, England and Spain. Whereas in France, the Netherlands and Belgium their competition activities were officially stopped. But they agreed to still determine the competition champion.

As we know that football in Germany has been suspended since mid-March due to a pandemic virus. Until now coronavirus has infected more than 150,000 people in this country. Nearly 6,300 people have died in Germany due to this deadly virus.

Meanwhile according to Skysports.com (6/5/20), German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Bundesliga players and staff will not have to be quarantined for 14 days because that is the club’s regular testing capacity.

“Routine health testing is there, so the quarantine period is not set at 14 days,” he said as reported by the online media.

Nevertheless there are still concerns felt by the Prime Minister of Bavaria, Markus Söder. Although still accepting the decision to continue the Bundesliga competition, Markus advised every club.

“We agreed in a reasonable way even though it was very controversial. But I know that those who are responsible at the club and will do everything possible to comply with the rules. The players must also obey.” Mark said as reported by Skysports.com.

This will be a challenge for every club participating in the Bundesliga later. They must ensure the application of health protocols according to WHO standards.

For this reason, in the middle of this week the Bundesliga General Session will be held in Frankfurt. The agenda addresses health and safety protocols to ensure the league returns safely.

Bayern Munich Chief Executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge welcomed the rolling of the Bundesliga. “FC Bayern feel very grateful, satisfied and happy. We have worked hard and long for this. With the green light from politicians, we have the requirements to restart the league. That is an important step for the Bundesliga,” he said as reported by Skysports. .com

Of course all football fans around the world have been waiting for the competition in Europe. The success of the Bundesliga in the first week of matches will be a guide for other European competition operators.

After the Bundesliga, we hope that we will follow the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A. We hope that this coronavirus will soon be overcome by all countries in the world so that we can return to normal life.
