Ahead of the 2022-2023 Italian League match against Torino, AC Milan received good news. They will certainly increase in strength because according to the coach, Stefano Pioli, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will join Milan against Torino.
Nevertheless, Pioli is not sure whether Ibrahimovic will be played or not. However, Ibrahimovic’s presence is actually enough to increase the mental strength of the Milan players who will be in action at the San Siro Stadium on Saturday 11 February 2023.
Stefano Pioli said the Swede’s condition was progressing. However, Ibrahimovic does need to continue to train in order to reach peak performance again.
“He is better. His range of abilities is not massive because he hasn’t practised much,” said Stefano Piolo as quoted by Tuttomercato, Friday (10/2/2023).
The 57-year-old coach said he would try to give Ibrahimovic the opportunity to play in AC Milan’s match against Torino. However, the player’s condition will be monitored first.
“He will be with us against Torino. He wants to be in the team,” he continued.
As is known, the 41-year-old striker has returned to training after a very long absence due to a knee injury. This condition, after Ibrahimovic underwent surgery in May and now his condition is getting better.
Stefano Pioli said that Ibrahimovic’s role with the team was indeed quite large. The reason is, the player can burn the enthusiasm of the players on the field even though they don’t even compete.
“His role is to be a great player and a great motivator. I hope he continues to be both,” added Pioli. Currently, Milan is in sixth place with a collection of 38 points. If you win over Torino, Milan has the chance to return to the top four.
