City were finally able to break the deadlock in the 45+1 minute through a goal scored by Rodri after receiving a gag ball from Riyad Mahrez’s kick.

The 3-1 score remained unchanged until the referee sounded the long whistle signaling the end of the game.
Haaland has scored his 20th Premier League goal in just 14 Premier League appearances for City.
Haaland is the fastest player in Premier League history to reach 20 goals.
After guiding City to victory against Leeds, Haaland says watching the World Cup from home has motivated him to do even better for City.
“I was at home, a little angry because I wasn’t at the World Cup,” Haaland said as quoted by ESPN.
“I recharge my batteries,” he continued.
“Watching other people score goals to win games in the World Cup fuels, motivates and irritates me. I’m hungrier and more prepared than ever.”
No player has ever scored 40 goals in a season in the Premier League, but Haaland is now on track to break that record.
Haaland added that he has a target goal for the season but he is adamant he will keep it under wraps until he achieves it.
“I have targets but I can’t say,” Haaland said.
“I just said in the locker room that I could score five goals, but the most important thing is that we win.”
“For me, as a striker, I have to score more. I could have scored more goals, but that’s life and I have to train more,” he concluded.
