England becomes the third teams to book their place in the semifinals of the 2020 European championship after beat Ukraine 4-0 in Rome.
Goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, and Harry Maguire were enough to see off the challenge from the Ukraine.
“Fantastic performance from everyone really the perfect night for us. You know we got off to a great start.” Kane said.
“To be fair to Ukraine they created a few problems for us kind of 10 to 15 minutes. After that we had to adapt our formation a little bit but then second half we come out on fire and obviously getting them early goals really kills teams off and then after that we kept the ball really well killed the game.” Kane added.
It was the only match of Euro 2020 that England had to play away from Wembley Stadium and it was the team’s most dominant performance of the tournament.
“We havent’ done nothing yet. We’ve got a semifinal at Wembley. What a moment for us as a team, as a nation. It’s there for us, it’s an opportunity for us. We have to grab it with both hands.” Kane said.
England, who have won only one of their 7 international matches against Ukraine will play Denmark, who eliminated Czech Republic to meet in the semifinals of Euro 2020.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult match, but we also know that if we understand it correctly and play the way we know what we can do, we have a great opportunity to reach the finals.” Kane Said.
“Many of us playing now don’t have the opportunity to play such a big match again in a major tournament at Wmbley. It’s an opportunity for us and we have to grab it with both hands. An envirotnment where you should enjoy in it.” he added.
