Harry Maguire Reveals a Bomb Threat to His Home

The Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has spoken out about his worry for his family following a bomb threat to his home in April.

Sharing on this issue, the England defender said it was unacceptable that his home in Cheshire became the target of threats from big group extremist fans.

“I’m big enough to accept people getting on my back and saying I can improve. There is a line where we are human beings, I do have a family,” Maguire said.

“People ask if it affects me. My mentality is that it don’t affect me too much but when it comes to bomb threats, it is more about family.

“My fiancee Fern, I’m just happy my kids are at an age where they don’t read things and see things on the news.” Maguire added.

The England international has taken heavy criticism in 2021/22 season for his performances, which have been well below his usual standard.

Erik ten Hag signed a three-year contract with United. The Dutch manager will be under contract through June 2025 with an option for an additional year.

Maguire has now commented on Ten Hag’s appointment at Old Trafford, insting he’s excited and looking ahead to next season.

“The new manager will bring in a lot of positif energy the lands will go with that.” Maguire said.

“We had all great, positive vibes going into the season under Ole [Gunar Solskjaer], we actually started the season, points-wise really well.

“Things went from a positive start to a bad start really quickly, we were conceding too many goals, not scoring enough goals, and it just spiralled.

“We can look at individual performances but I think every player at the club has not performed to a level, that’s apart from Cristiano [Ronaldo] with his goals.” he added.
