Hopefully It Will Be Good News from FIFA for Indonesia

Since suspending Indonesia from international competitions, FIFA would visit to Indonesia. To find out about the situation of Indonesia football FIFA will send their team to investigate the recent development of football in Indonesia.

According to Indonesia Youth and Sports Minester Imam Nahrawi, FIFA arrival to Indonesia is invited by Indonesian government. And will discuss the investigation of football situation in Indonesia
The Indonesian Youth and Sports Minester Imam Nahrawi states that FIFA officials would visit Indonesia in the coming October to find out the progress of football in Indonesia after FIFA suspended Indonesia from International competition.

Thence FIFA will decide whether to lift sanctions against Indonesia membership in FIFA or not.
“We will explain everything to FIFA that the football improvements in Indonesia accordance with the wishes of FIFA and statutes they have.” said Imam Nahrawi.

Previously, the activities of football in Indonesia stopped after Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi froze the Indonesia Football Association, (PSSI). FIFA had earlier told to the Indonesian government not to interfere PSSI in the running of domestic league. FIFA also told Imam Nahrawi to allow the PSSI to manage its affairs independently without influence of any one.

Consequently FIFA banned Indonesia to join international competition because the Indonesian government has intervened in the management of PSSI. By this sanction, all football squads from Indonesia are not allowed to join in various international competitions.

Other side, Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi denied FIFA statement is wrong. His reason because the conditions are mandatory and are not additional criteria. Imam Nahrawi claimed there is no hidden agenda, there are many problems came from PSSI management. Just say: PSSI not able to pay two foreign players who died, corruptions allegations, poor security at major games.

Also the Indonesian Professional Sports Agency or its acronym BOPI, sanctioned by Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi. He wanted Surabaya Football Association/Persebaya to be blocked from domestic league, but Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) had resisted.

The big impact by Imam Nahrawi decision, many Indonesian football players became jobless. They couldn’t participate in any competition. However they still can play competition like village to village or called Antarkampung, (Tarkam).

To solve the problems, Youth and Sports Minister formed a team called Transition Team, a team set up by government to reform Indonesian football management.

Now the squads from each regional may look happy. The government has launched the Independence Cup (Piala Kemerdekaan). The Independence Cup running under supervision of Transition Team, and joined by 24 squads divided into four groups.

In next September 2015, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has also launched a game. It called President Cup (Piala Presiden) thorough a promoter named Mahaka Sports.

Hopefully the case of Indonesian football will be cleared. Hopefully good news from FIFA for Indonesian.
