After a good first season in Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will finish his football career due to his severe knee injury. With the long unavailability the Swedish, Manchester United will let him go and actively seek his successor at the forward.
In late May, Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola, left the door open to the Red Devils by evoking other clubs in Europe for his client. A few days later, it seems that Manchester United have decided for the future of the Swedish.
When asked media, Raiola said his client would prefer to stay at Old Trafford. “He wants to stay in England, he wants to stay on top and if he sees that he can be valuable asset to Manchester United, then why not Manchester United?” Raiola told media.
“He can be a valuable asset for other prominent clubs too. But I think he is respectful to first talk with Manchester United and see what all parties want.” he added.
Indeed, according to the report of English media, United does not intend to keep the former Barcelona and PSG star at the end of his contract in June and whose option of a one-year extension will not be activated. The report said too, the 35-year-old was not on United’s list of retained players when it was published on Friday.
This report is obviously not a surprise. How to imagine Jose Mouriho’s side is betting on Ibrahimovic while the center forward should be absent at least until Janury 2018. Moreover, Ibrahimovic’s departure was clearly the trend since the Mancunians multiplied the tracks to replace him with the scores of Everton start Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata.

Then what future for the former Sweden international player? First of all, Ibrahimovic should focus fully on re-education before seeking a new club. One can imagine that he will be ready to make his return at the time of the winter transfer.
At the moment, Ibrahimovic will look for a great European formation able to restart it if one believes of Mino Raiola, who recently dismissed a possible exotic destination. There is still a risk of hearing about Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made 46 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 28 goals, 8 assist, and helped Manchester United lift the Community Shield, the League Cup, and the Europa League trophy.
