Iga Swiatek is very focused when she plays tennis, but sometimes she just releases the built-up tension and often does it without realizing it.
The Polish tennis player is known to have forgotten when he won the match with a landslide result of 6-0, 6-0 because he was too focused on what was happening on the court. Even though it sounds strange, this can happen.
Many people often lose track of time when doing something and tennis players can be quite focused during a match. That’s why camera flashes and applause can distract many of them.

A tennis match can create a lot of tension within a tennis player and on many occasions, it has to be released. The same thing happened to the world number 1 tennis player, but for the tennis player, it was an unconscious reaction, not something he specifically planned to do.
“When I say swear words on the pitch or when I say ‘Jazda’ – these are things I can’t completely control. It is a surge of tension or energy. “Sometimes, the celebration after the match, that’s also something I do without thinking about it first,” said Iga Swiatek.
“I also often tell myself some technical things I want to work on, for example to make a short jump before returning or simply positioning myself in front of the ball.”
The tennis player who has won four Grand Slam titles is not known for being too passive and having a lot of emotions on the court, but sometimes he gets overwhelmed. That’s normal and he does feel angry and frustrated, but in general, he can control it pretty well.
WTA Finals champion for the 2023 season, Swiatek worked on this with her psychologist when emotions prevented her from doing what she wanted. It’s a journey of a lifetime and with time, it will get better, but the emotions are quite good.
