Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday defeated Conor McGregor in the fourth round at UFC 229. After the fight, the Russian stepped away from his rival and attacked the Irishman’s corner man, Dillon Danis.

“I’m not sorry, I’m disappointed. It’s been 18 years since I have been trying to grow this sport, which I try to make known to the general public. This sport is great and our athletes should not behave this way.” UFC president Dana White said.
“We should all be celebrating how when you put on the right event with the right guys at the right time, it works.” White added.
Asked whether he regretted using the UFC 223 bus incident to promote the Gala, White expressed not regret: “It would not have changed anything. The two men hate each other, that all.
It will be remembered that on April 5, McGregor had thrown a wagon through the window of the bus at the edge of which was Nurmagomedov. At the time, the UFC boss said it was the darkest moment in UFC history.
White on Saturday night said the actions of Nurmagomedov and his entourage were as deplorable as those of McGregor six months ago.
Speaking of Nurmagomedov, his mood swings will cost him dearly. The Nevada Athletic Commission has decided no to hand him $ 2 million check. The NAC and UFC will also revise the video tapes and punish the wrongdoers.
It should therefore be expected that Nurmagomedov is banned, fined and potential stripped of his lightweight title.
“Who knows, perhaps Khabib will no longer be able to get his visa to enter the United States. His career at UFC may be compromised.” White said.
On the other hand, Nurmagomedov briefly appeared before the media, about two hours after the conclusion of the gala. The Russian apologised to the UFC and the athletic commission before attempting to judge his action.

“Everybody blames me because I attacked his corner man, but no one blames McGregor for his vicious attacks in recent weeks.” Khabib said.
“He attacked my religion, my father, and my country. He even nearly killed people on the bus. Why are his actions acceptable and not mine?” Khabib added.
McGregor, meanwhile, he did not talk too much to media. On Twitter he accepted the result and said he was ready to go back in the octagon with his rival.
But it is too early to consider such a scenario. Once the sanctions are known people will be able to get a better idea about the future of the lightweight division and the possible options for Nurmagomedov, McGregor and other contenders for the title.
