Inter Milan draw 1-1 with Juventus in the 34th week of the Italian League at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday (28/4). The visitors proved immediately pressing in the early minutes through Leonardo Bonucci’s right foot shot from outside the penalty box when the match was not even one minute. His strike could still be secured by Samir Handanovic.
La Beneamata who acted as the host only needed seven minutes to break into Juventus’ goal. The goal that made Inter superior scored by Radja Nainggolan. The Indonesian player scored a beautiful goal through a first time kick from outside the penalty box. Nainggolan’s hard kick cannot be anticipated by Wojciech Szczesny.
After the goal, Inter were increasingly eager to attack. Mauro Icardi’s left-footed strike from inside the penalty area in the 10th minute and Stefan de Vrij’s header from close range in the 12th minute, could still be thwarted by Wojciech Szczesny. Juventus are still pressured by the home team’s game.
Inter Milan appeared dangerous through measured passes from Matteo Politano from the Juve defense side into the penalty box. Juventus tried to get out of the pressure by trying to build attacks from both center-backs Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci who advanced to half the playing field. The chance for Inter in the 29th minute when in front of the Juve goal was a goal which was exploited by Mauro Icardi, but his left foot shot was blocked by Giorgio Chiellini.
Juventus took the initiative to counterattack but still did not produce results through kicking Cristiano Ronaldo’s right foot from outside the penalty box which soared on the left side of Inter’s goal in the 31st minute. Until the first round match was over, no more goals were created.
In the second half, Inter continued to display attacking games. The best opportunity came from Ivan Perisic’s hard shot from outside the penalty box which was thin beside Szczesny’s goal.
After that, it was Juventus’ turn to get a chance to equalize the score in the 68th minute. Joao Cancelo’s bait leads right to Ronaldo but his shot is still hit the Inter defender.
Ronaldo again got the opportunity and this time the 34-year-old striker managed to thrill Handanovic’s goal. Work was equally good with Miralem Pjanic ended by Roaldo with a hard left-footed shot without Handanovic being able to prevent it. The goal that made the score at 1-1 was Ronaldo’s 600th goal at club level.
In the 70th minute, Perisic again failed to conquer Szczesny. His shot from close range could still be thwarted by the Polish goalkeeper.
Both teams are increasingly eager to launch attacks but until the fight is over there are no additional goals created. This result does not change the position of Inter in third place while Juventus are still firmly at the top of the standings. These results make Inter Milan fail to reach full points while playing at home in their last three matches in the Italian League.
