Italy Serie A Results: Ibrahimovic Bring AC Milan Beat Cagliari

AC Milan won 2-0 when they traveled to Cagliari headquarters in Week 18 of the Italian League, Tuesday (19/1). Two of Milan’s winning goals were bought by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Dueling at the Sardegna Arena Stadium, Cagliari and AC Milan both need positive results to secure their position in the Italian League standings. Cagliari, who are currently in 17th place, need an additional three points to keep them out of the relegation zone. Meanwhile AC Milan wants a victory to be able to stay firmly at the top of the standings while keeping their distance from their closest rivals, Inter Milan.

Playing at the opponent’s headquarters, AC Milan appeared confident. Milan were immediately awarded a penalty in the sixth minute after Ibrahimovic was brought down in the forbidden box. The Swedish player advanced to be the executor and had no trouble shooting the ball.

Ibrahimovic almost scored a hat trick. Ibrahimovic’s kick was able to be blocked by Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno.

Milan had to play with 10 men after Alexis Saelemaekers received a second yellow card for a foul on Luca Ceppitelli.
