The Boston Celtics’ forward Jayson Tatum stands as one of targets of criticism with soma people considering him to be the weakest star that the Celtics team has ever had.
However, Tatum has responded to these remarks with classy and strength to overcome every situation like any star basketball player in the court session as well as in life.
The Boston Celtics lost to the Sacramento Kings 114-97, with Tatum having eight turnovers and only 15 points and Jayson Tatum again addressing the criticism he had received.
“Surprised? No. I think it’s part of being one of the best players in the league, and the more you accomplish, the more people have the opportunity to point out your flaws.” Tatum said.
“So if I wasn’t who I am or had a certain status, people wouldn’t talk about me as much. But I’m not the first superstar in the history of the league to deal with that. It’s part of the package.” Tatum added.
Tatum is going to attend All-Star Game in a row in the next week and he won the last NBA final. However, he is not optimistic that the backlash will not come to an end in the near future.
Moreover, Joe Mazzulla has been working on trying to reignite the sense of grounding for Tatum and Jaylen Brown by demonstrating some media has been utterly wrong about several NBA stars over the course of the latter’s careers.
“I think it helps put things in perspective. It’s not something I didn’t already know,” Tatum said.
“But you can look at some of the ridiculous opinions people on TV have had about some of the greatest players in the history of the game that haven’t aged well.
“So you see certain comments that people have made about some guys and how their careers have unfolded, you just have to laugh. It’s part of the journey.” he added.
