Jean Pascal admitted that he cannot to lose

Former WBC world champion Jean Pascal has admitted that he cannot to lose on Saturday night duel, as he faces the unbeaten Eleider Alvarez, at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.

Speaking to media before his fight against Alvarez, Pascal admitted that his career will be at stake in this fight. The Canadian boxer has a clear advantage over the experience, who has the merit of having held twice against Sergey Kovalev, two more times against Bernard Hopkins, Carl Froch, Lucian Bute, Chad and many others.

“Victory is the only option for me, I’ve been in tough battles, but my tank is full,” Pascal said. “I faced a much better opposition than Alvarez. And that was done in front of a big scene. This is a big, big fight, and I’ve experienced this before. That’s the thing with the experience, you cannot buy the experience. You have to live it, and I have lived it many times. I’m ready to be on the big stage once again.

“The training camp went really well. I was coached by Roy Jones Jr. and Stephane Larouche and we stayed in Montreal throughout the camp. We avoided injury and we are ready for action this Saturday.” he added.

It should be understood that in the past, Pascal has commonly engaged in sparring sessions with his opponent. Both boxers know each other very well, but this reality does not worry the Canadian boxer.

“The fact of sparring with Alvarez is not really an advantage for me. The last time we did sparring was two or three years ago. I know him well, but he knows me well too.  I currently have two holds ag;ainst me, he knows me very well, but his coach knows me by heart, since he was my former coach,” Pascal said.

“But it does not matter. I did my homework and I know what have to do in the ring. Currently, my focus is on Alvarez. Once the referee has lifted my hand, we will see what will happen next,” he added.
