Jonas Folger once again had to gain disappointing results during at Aragon Grand Prix. He sets out ambition s in the last four races, which he managed to recover then. However, the Yamaha Tech3 team rider was not going to progress as much as he had hoped finish good at the table standings.
Folger finished 16th at Aragon Grand Prix on last weekend. At the first, the German was actually quite confidence to get into the top ten, although he had to start the race from 18th position.
However, after several laps, he realised there’s no significant progress he could be made. It was his worst performance so far but he is expected will get better when fighting in Japan Grand Prix on October 15.
The 24-year-old Yamaha rider is currently sits at 10th positions in the MotoGP standings with 84 points. He has 14 points ahead of Ducati’s Alvaro Bautista and 33 points behind his team-mate Johann Zarco.
“We are all very disappointed with the race within the team because I am fighting to stay in the top-ten of MotoGP tandings and I am struggling with really fast riders.” Folger said.
“But last weekend we were in the trouble, we finished at 16th, too bad. I have to regain my confidence and take advantage of the two weeks of truce to rest, so to come fresh for the next race. At the championship, I’m 14 points ahead of my closest rivals and the goal is to stay in this top-ten.
“The other goal is to be released again on the bike, and to be more like the start of the season. To the problems we had during the last races, but just to regain pleasure in working and riding the bike.” he added.

This was all the more surprising given that Folger had completed the first part of the season in a triumphant way, with a podium finish on his ground Germany on July 2.
“I have to manage as early in this season. The different problems encountered, combined with the falls, made us lose points and left us as a kind of frustration.” Folger said.
“So I’m going to go through it just because, to try to complicate matters, it doesn’t work. I am sure I will be more easygoing and ready for action.” former Moto2 rider added.
