Jorge Martin, the rising star of MotoGP, has made some intriguing remarks about his aspirations for the upcoming 2024 season.
In a recent interview, the Pramac rider admitted his desire to beat Marc Marquez, the legendary and reigning MotoGP champion, throughout the year.
Martin’s journey to becoming a serious contender in MotoGP was a testament to his talent and determination. From his early days as a rookie, Martin displayed a natural flair for racing, consistently impressing fans and insiders alike.
Podium finishes and standout performances in lower classes set the stage for his eventual ascent to the top tier of motorcycle racing.
Marquez had established himself as one of the greatest riders of all time. His aggressive riding style and unrivaled skill on the track had made him a force to be reckoned with, setting the bar high for anyone daring to challenge his reign.
The 2024 season held immense significance for Marquez. It was a chance for him to cement his legacy even further, to prove that he was still the undisputed king of MotoGP. But with Martin’s emergence as a serious contender, the stakes were higher than ever before.
Marquez faced the challenge of defending his throne against a hungry, determined rival, and the world watched with bated breath to see if he could rise to the occasion.
“I think it will be a very long season, we will not have to make mistakes, but it is clear that we have one more incentive, which is Marc with the Ducati.” Martin told Autosport.
“It will be very interesting. For me, I think it’s a very good opportunity, because at the end I have the opportunity to beat one of the best in history, or the best.
“Then, if I manage to beat him, I will consider myself as one of the best riders in history too.” Martin added.
