Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. will face Hector Camacho Jr. this Saturday in an exhibition bout, in Jalisco Stadium, Mexico.
Speaking at his press confrence, Chavez revealed details of his current physical condition and health that were unknown. Despite the consequences you may suffer, you are willing to accept what may happen despite everything.
“Whatever God wants is going to happen, but I’m not going to make anyone who goes to the Jalisco Stadium look bad, I’m going to make an exhibition that everyone likes and if I have to die in the ring, then let all mother,” Chavez said.
“I have felt a bit of fear towards myself, I know the danger I am in, it is an exhibition, but my nose, a bad blow can come me a stroke.
“I must be very careful, but I already accepted it, I am already up neck, but now I have to get how much or how little I have left of the great Mexican champion.” Chavez added.
Camacho Sr. was murdered in 2012, an event that only further enhanced his son’s efforts to avenge his father’s loss to Chavez.
“I could have been great. I say could have, but my goal was to make a name for myself. Once I had done that, boxing didn’t mean as much. I was a pretty good fighter. I’m still pretty good. I can definitely beat Chavez’s ass; you’ll see that.” Camacho Jr. said.
“1992. Sept. 12, when Chavez beat my father, that was a heartbreaker for me, the Camacho family and all of Puerto Rico.
“That’s a night I haven’t forgotten, and I never will. It’s why it’s important to me. I’ve wanted him since then. I’ve tried to get both father and son, but it never panned out. I’ll fight any Chavez. Jackie, Ricky, Robby, Bobby, whoever.” he added.
