New news came from two giants of Serie A, Juventus and AS Roma. Not long ago, both of them were reported to have found an agreement to exchange players involving Leonardo Spinazzola and Luca Pellegrini.
According to several sources, one of which is Sky Sport Italia, the two players will change uniformly in the next few days. In addition, there is also a nominal transfer charged to AS Roma
Reporting from Football Italia, Juventus set Spinazzola at a price of 25 million euros. While Pellegrini, who is only 20 years old, is only valued at 15 million euros. So that Rome had to spend 10 million euros to smooth this exchange.
Spinazzola and Pellegrini have some similarities. Both of them operate in the left sector of the defense and are also trying to pursue their careers again after suffering severe injuries sometime before.
Not only that, but both of them have also gone through ‘school’ periods at other clubs. As is known, Spinazzola spent two years of his career at Atalanta, while Pellegrini appeared six months ago for Cagliari.
If the transfer process runs smoothly, then the two players will hold a medical test this week. It is projected that Spinazzola will play as a core Roma player while Pellegrini will be Alex Sandro’s coating at Juventus.
Although it has some similarities, there are differences in fate between Spinazzola and Pellegrini in this 2018-2019 season. Spinazzola recovered from a severe injury and was involved in a series of Juventus matches in January.
Therefore, the 26-year-old player was only played 12 times in various competitions. But there was one moment that made him succeed in attracting public attention, namely when Juventus met Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16-second leg.
Instead of installing Alex Sandro, Massimiliano Allegri as the Juventus coach at that time actually played Spinazzola who rarely appeared. The bet was a success because Spinazzola was impressive and helped the Bianconeri win with a landslide score of 3-0.
On the other hand, Pellegrini managed to steal a place in the Cagliari core squad and successfully recorded a total of 11 appearances as a starter in Serie A. Unfortunately, its existence did not make Cagliari able to sit in a better position than 15th place.
