Juventus celebrate the Scudetto win

Juventus have been crowned champions of Italian for seventh time in their history after trashing Napoli 1-0 at home stadium last month. But they recovered to clinch the crown with a week remaining after weekend’s goalless draw at AS Roma.

Speaking to media, Juventus manager Massimilianno Allegri pleased to see his men after the game and remarkable achievement.

“I am happy because the players got it done and we have another week to rest. It’s been really tough and we have to compliment Napoli, as they kept the pressure until the end and won at Sampdoria this evening.” Allegri said.

“We work hard, but when it’s time to celebrate, after four extraordinary years, it’s right that everyone celebrates. It’s for everyone we worked with at the training ground, the fans, too, but the players are the real heroes.

“I always thank the players and I am sure that it’s easier to achieve objectives with a group of men with these values. It’s not easy to keep the right mentality just a few days after winning the Coppa Italia final.” Allegri added.

The 50-year-old manager has been linked with a move away from Juventus. Arsenal have looked at Allegri to replace Arsene Wenger this summer, although he is expected to stay at Turin for another year.

“The motivation is always there at Juventus,” Allegri said. “Next year, there will be some players leaving, others arriving, and the objective will be to be in the running for every prize in March again.

“You have to work on yourself and find the motivation within yourself too, setting personal targets as well as those for the group.

“It’s a wonderful feeling, as it’s never easy to win. There are players here who won all seven titles and deserve Saturday’s salute in front of their home fans. We want to celebrate all together in Turin.

“If Juventus don’t fire me, then I think I’m staying at the club next season too. It’s not an issue of decisions on the future, it’s about planning what the future of Juventus will be because once we’re finished celebrating, we have to sit around a table which clear heads.” Allegri added.

Since joining four years ago, former AC Milan manager has led Bianconeri to two Champions League finals, while winning four Coppa Italia trophies and a Supercoppa Italiana trophy.
