Juventus, one of Italy’s top clubs, is reportedly pursuing Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho. In the last few days, Juventus has contacted the Red Devils to obtain further information regarding Sancho’s situation.
Sancho has been frozen out of Manchester United’s main squad for almost three months, after being involved in a conflict with manager Erik Ten Hag. Even though his future at Old Trafford looks bleak, Sancho seems to be an attractive target for Juventus.
According to Fabrizio Romano, European transfer expert, Juventus are interested in Sancho and believe that the English player has great potential. However, financial constraints make it difficult for Juventus to recruit Sancho permanently. A possible solution is through a loan agreement.
Romano stated that Juventus had contacted Manchester United to find out more about Sancho’s situation. Even though there have been no official negotiations, Juventus is expected to only be able to bring in Sancho on loan due to Financial Fair Play conditions.
However, Juventus needs to be careful with Sancho’s fairly high salary. A loan deal may be the only way to make that happen, and Juventus may need to negotiate with Manchester United to discuss salary sharing.
Until now, there have been no concrete signs regarding negotiations between the two clubs. Juventus is still in the stage of requesting further information regarding Sancho’s situation. Meanwhile, Manchester United will probably wait for the best offer before making a decision regarding the player’s future.
For Manchester United, selling Sancho seems to be the best option to overcome this situation. Waiting for other clubs to compete in the hunt for the player could be a wise strategy for the Red Devils, who want to secure a profitable deal in the upcoming transfer window.
Several reports say that Man United will sell Sancho for 45 million pounds, even though he was previously bought for 73 million pounds from Dortmund in 2021.
Sancho’s progress at Old Trafford was less than satisfactory. He only scored 12 goals in 82 appearances for Man United across competitions. These statistics are very mediocre when compared with his career at Dortmund.
While strengthening the German giant, Sancho managed to score 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 matches in all competitions.
