Kenan Yildiz appeared for the first time as a starter for the Juventus first team when they visited Frosinone headquarters. The teenager from Turkiye also marked his starting debut with I Bianconerri in a special way, namely scoring a goal straight away.
Yildiz’s goal was created in a special way. Receiving the ball from Filip Kostic on the left side of the Frosinone defense, Yildiz took a solo action past three opposing players then beat goalkeeper Stefano Turati with a shot at the near post. With his debut goal, Kenan Yildiz’s name entered the Juventus history books. At the age of 18 years 233 days, Yildiz, who has a Turkiye passport, became the youngest foreign player to score a goal for Juventus.
After breaking through Frosinone’s goal, Yildiz made Alessandro Del Piero’s typical celebration, namely sticking out his tongue. In an interview after the match, Yildiz admitted that he was very inspired by Del Piero. “My celebration was inspired by Del Piero. This is why I decided to stick my tongue out. He is a legend of this club and football. This goal is very big for me, a great joy,” said Yildiz, quoted from the official Juventus website.
Apart from Del Piero, other footballers who have inspired Kenan Yildiz are Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. “I am inspired by the great champions of the past, such as Zidane and Del Piero who are my idols, as well as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” said the teenager who has collected three caps with the Turkiye national team.
Not to forget, Yildiz also thanked the Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who had given him the opportunity. “For me, Allegri is a great coach. I always follow his instructions, that’s why when he told me to cut my hair, I immediately did it. He is the boss,” said Kenan Yildiz.
