Klopp: Manchester City Doesn’t Show Weakness

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp believes the English Premier League defending champions Manchester City have not shown signs of weakness this season. This season, Liverpool and Manchester City have shown extraordinary performances. They were alternately alternating at the top of the English Premier League standings.

In the 2018/2019 season Man City has swallowed one defeat and is ranked second in the standings. While Liverpool became the top of the standings with a report card not yet beaten.

Klopp does not mention Man City’s achievements in this season as luck. Because of that the German manager claimed to still respect Man City. In the eyes of Klopp remain in the best form as when he won 100 points last season. Klopp has asked Liverpool to continue to focus because Manchester City are always threatening. Moreover, their margin points are very thin.

“They are defending champions and are still playing like champions. Desires that I see in City after a very dominant champion last season, I think that is special. We are all challengers. So, that’s why we have to concentrate on every game and not underestimate,” Klopp said firmly.

“[Man City] shows no sign of weakness. They are defending champions and they will continue to play like winners. Something I want to see after Man City won last year, I think it’s special,” Klopp was quoted as saying on Sky Sports.

Liverpool have a four-point chance over Man City when against Wolverhampton at Molineaux on Saturday (12/22). While the new Man City will fight Crystal Palace at night.

The victory not only made the Reds reach three points but also put pressure on Man City. Even so, Klopp insists Man City is the only team to beat in order to win the title this season.

“It’s really neutral about that. I saw that and said, ‘Yes, the team that must be defeated is obviously Man City,” Klopp said.

“I need to be honest with you, because I look from day to day, week after week and think we have a lot of work to do,” Klopp added.

It’s just that Klopp doesn’t feel Liverpool is the only challenger for the Citizens this season. Tottenham Hotspur who is ranked third in the standings and Arsenal and Chelsea are also wary of red Merseyside.

“Tottenham have had so many injury problems, the shortest pause after the World Cup. I don’t know how many Belgian and English players they have, no preseason, and win all matches in difficult situations,” Klopp said.
