Kylian Mbappe Wins Golden Shoe Award Beats Messi

Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Shoe award after scoring three goals against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final.

Kylian Mbappe was able to score a total of 8 goals at the World Cup this time.

Mbappe beat Lionel Messi, who scored two goals in the final, bringing Messi’s total to 7 goals.

Kylian Mbappe scored his first goal at the 2022 World Cup in France’s 4-1 win over Australia.

Then Mbappe’s second and third goals were scored in France’s 2-1 win over Denmark.

In the last 16, Mbappe scored twice in France’s 3-1 win over Poland before going goalless in the 2-1 quarter-final win over England and the 2-0 semi-final win over Morocco.

Argentina won the final 4-2 on penalties after the game finished 3-3 after extra time.

Golden Gloves winner Emiliano Martinez saved from Kingsley Coman’s penalty and Tchouameni’s wide shot gave Argentina the title since 1986 and was Argentina’s third World Cup title.

France failed to defend their World Cup title after being defeated by Argentina in the final match on penalties.

After the defeat, Raphael Varane and Hugo Lloris said that they left Qatar with their heads held high after fighting to the end.

France pulled level 2-2 through Kylian Mbappe in record time after trailing Argentina 2-0 before Mbappe scored his third goal in extra-time to level the match at 3-3.

But France had to admit Argentina’s superiority in the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2.

“We are very disappointed of course, we gave everything,” Varane was quoted as saying by espn.

“We had to face many obstacles during the competition, we didn’t give up,” continued Varane.

“For an hour we were not in the game. We could have won too. I am very proud of this group and of being French. We kept our heads high. We came back in this game when it was complicated,” he continued.

“We pushed and we believed until the end. We almost turned the game around, which didn’t go well. … There is mental strength in this group, a lot of heart. It allowed us to come back in this game. We are disappointed but also proud.” Varane.

“Argentina started well, aggressive, using all aspects of the game,” said Hugo Lloris.

We were a bit reactionary the whole night.”

Prior to the final several of France’s players had missed training due to illness over the past week but Lloris was reluctant to use that as an excuse.

“We won’t make excuses, we gave everything,” added Lloris.

“You have to congratulate the players because we didn’t give up until the end.”
