Barcelona won 4-0 over Osasuna in the 28th week of the Spanish League at the Camp Nou Stadium, Sunday (13/3). Ferran Torres became the star of Barcelona’s victory by scoring two goals.
Barcelona showed dominance at the Camp Nou Stadium since the start of the match. With the fast tempo of the game, the Blaugrana successfully continued to press Osasuna to play in their defense.
In the 13th minute Gavi violated Nacho Vidal in the forbidden box. Referee Ricardo De Burgos awarded a penalty to Barcelona.
Ferran Torres who became the penalty taker had no trouble to bring Barcelona 1-0 up in the 14th minute. Torres kick to the left side outwit goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.
Torres scored his second goal of the game in the 21st minute after receiving a fine through ball from Ousmane Dembele. Moving from the left side, Torres placed the ball on the side of the Osasuna goal after getting Dembele’s cross ball.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s strike put the Blaugrana away with a 3-0 lead in the 27th minute after capitalizing on Dembele’s cross from the right.
Osasuna is still having trouble finding a good pattern of play to catch up. However, until the first half ended, no goals were scored. The 3-0 score closed the first half of Barcelona vs Osasuna.
Barcelona still continued to show the tempo of the game quickly to attack in the second half. Osasuna has not yet found the right pattern of play to overcome the opponent’s movements.
Various attacks continued to be carried out by Barcelona to score additional goals in the second half. However, Osasuna was able to defend well, making it difficult for Barcelona to increase their advantage.
Defender Gerard Pique broke into Osasuna’s goal after receiving a through ball in the 55th minute. However, the goal was deemed invalid after the linesman first raised the offside flag.
Despite winning 3-0, Barcelona did not relax their attacks and continued to attack the visitors’ defense.
Jordi Alba attempted a shot from outside the box in the 70th minute but was still caught by goalkeeper Herrera.
Riqui Puig added to the Catalan club’s lead through his goal in the 75th minute. Puig scored after utilizing Dembele’s assist.
After receiving Dembele’s cross, Puig fired a shot that could be parried by goalkeeper Herrera. Puig took the wild ball again to convert it into a goal. The 4-0 score lasted until the game was over.
