Leandro Trossard Reveals His Ambitious Target After Officially Joining Arsenal

Leandro Trossard reveals his ambitious targets after officially joining Arsenal. The Belgian national team attacking midfielder hopes to develop further under Mikel Arteta and bring success to the north London side.

“I am very excited to start my journey with Arsenal,” Trossard said as quoted from Arsenal’s official website via Antara, Monday (23/1/2023).

Furthermore, the former Brighton and Hove Albion striker added, he was ready to work hard to help the team achieve their goal of becoming champions. He thinks Arteta is also a great coach and manager for the Gunners, and the support of fans is another thing that motivates him.

“I am very happy to see the fans in the stadium. I hope I can give everything for them. I want to try and create as many magical moments as possible, and hopefully we can celebrate together,” he said.

He has become an important figure for The Seagulls – nicknamed Brighton – over the last few years. Throughout his career, he has often played in various positions and that is in fact one of the reasons Mikel Arteta likes him.

He feels flexibility will help him develop, especially after discussing his role in the team with Arteta and Sporting Director Edu before sealing a transfer deal.

“They told me they really liked me as a player, that I would suit the game system very well. It gave them the impression that I could play in a different position. They were looking forward to working with me, and vice versa,” said Trossard.

Trossard has successfully scored seven goals with Brighton this season. In fact, he successfully carved a hat-trick against Liverpool last October.

“This is my best season in the Premier League. We did a great job at Brighton and my form there was very good. After the World Cup I didn’t play much because of that situation but I’m very excited to start here with Arsenal and show myself I am on the biggest stage for a top club.”

Trossard immediately made his debut for the Gunners – nicknamed Arsenal – on Sunday 22 January 2023. He came off the bench in the 82nd minute when Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League 2022-2023 continued match.
