The Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James does not believe that Stephen Curry will continue at Golden State Warriors and would be planning to recruit him to the Lakers in the future.
As reported by ESPN journalist Brian Windhorst, LeBron James’ praise for Curry during this year’s All-Star Game weekend is no coincidence. It would all be part of a plan by the Lakers star to convince the Warriors figure to join the squads after 2022.
To hear Nick Friedell, who has been covering the Warriors for ESPN since the 2018-19 season, tell it, there’s no way Curry’s signature doesn’t wind up on an extension.
“Steph’s not going anywhere. He has only ever talked about how much it means to him to play with one team. He’s staying, for at least the foreseeable future.” Friedell said.
The objective is very difficult to achieve, but with James anything can be. Curry, meanwhile, maintains a great relationship not only with the Warriors franchise, but also with the entire San Francisco Bay area. It is a benchmark and everything would bet on a renewal.
Either way, James’ intentions sound logical, especially due to the latest movements that have been seen during the last market where teams like Brooklyn Nets added great figures to their squads to try to find the title, such as LaMarcus. Aldridge or Blake Griffin , counting before also James Harden.
In the case of theLakers, in the last market they were able to specify the arrival of Andre Drummond to build up the area of the paint, especially in the absence of Davis due to injury.
But the forward thinking is to continue to be at the top of the NBA and a dumbbell between LeBron and Steph could be totally impactful.
