Lionel Messi Thanks The Argentina National Team and PSG

Lionel Messi is happy because he won the 2021 Ballon d’Or trophy. He also showed off the title of the world’s best player on his personal Instagram, namely @leomessi while thanking the Argentine National Team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and also Barcelona.

Yes, Messi has won his seventh Ballon d’Or. This was obtained after winning the 2021 Ballon d’Or at the Theater du Chatelet, Tuesday (11/30/2021) early morning WIB. Previously, La Pulga – Messi’s nickname – won it in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2019.

The Argentina captain has become a record-breaker in football history as the player who has won the most Ballon d’Or awards to date. Not only that, Messi also managed to become the first PSG player to win the Ballon d’Or.

Messi’s success was achieved after getting the most votes. He managed to beat Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski who finished second.

Messi himself won 613 votes. Meanwhile, the Bayern Munich bomber collected 560 votes. The 34-year-old has indeed lost brilliantly to Lewandowski in terms of scoring goals. However, he was able to bring the Argentine national team to end the trophy fast with the achievement of the 2021 Copa America.

For this achievement, Messi could not hide his joy. How not, the record he achieved has made a new history in the world of football. Not to forget, La Pulga also expressed his gratitude to all those who have supported.

Starting from his former club, Barcelona to the Argentine national team. Almost none of the parties missed him. Messi said this through his personal Instagram account.

“Although I always put the collective first, I cannot hide my joy at being able to win the Ballon d’Or again,” Messi wrote on his personal Instagram account, Tuesday (30/11/2021).

“I want to thank and dedicate to all my colleagues and the @afaseleccion staff for the wonderful year we have had. Also the one I have at @fcbarcelona and the one at @psg,” he continued.

“And of course to my family and friends, as well as everyone who supports me, who is by my side, taking care of me and making me perform every day: without them all of this would never have been possible.

And thanks also to @francefootball for the Gala and the award. A warm hug!” he added. Messi is now the first footballer to win seven Ballon d’Or trophies. He began to move away from his toughest rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, who so far has only collected five trophies.
