MPL Season 14 continues in week 2, four teams compete today are RRQ vs Rebellion and Liquid vs EVOS Glory. The last match has an interesting intrigue where both teams have zero points in the first week.
Both also made roster changes even though Liquid promoted more MDL players to MPL, while EVOS still has a similar line up with Caleb as the difference in the coaching staff. Both Liquid and EVOS have a mission to break the egg, unfortunately the Tigers have not managed to complete the objective after losing 2-1 to Liquid.
Liquid’s new trio, Favian (jungler), Yehezkiel (midlaner), and Widy (Roamer), were able to synergize well with Aran and AeronnShikii (MM) who debuted to replace Kabuki. It can be said that today Liquid is using the MDL squad to play in the MPL. So, what is the reason Liquid overhauled the roster and why will this team achieve better results than the previous roster?
“Actually, we are just taking advantage of the MPL system. Because this is the regular season, so we deserve to try to find a puzzle that fits this team. For me, it’s not difficult (to replace senior players), they accept all the decisions we make because this is all based on the calculations and plans we make. The performance of the kids (vs EVOS) is still 7,” said coach Saintdelucaz in an interview session after the match last night.
SDL is sure that this team has the potential to make the Liquid team stronger and achieve more, seeing the synergy between these young players. The unbeaten record in the MDL that these young players carry is capital to navigate the competition in MPL Season 14.
“From our daily lives we add a lot of people, there are lots of adaptations and there are lots of things that can be shared with them so they can improve quickly. So there are many factors that can make them play more freely. “So MDL to MPL isn’t much different for them, it’s just different for the audience,” concluded the coach.
