Thomas Tuchel, the current Chelsea coach, has reportedly allowed five of his players to find a new club.
Chelsea have previously allowed Romelu Lukaku to move to Inter Milan on loan.
Meanwhile, the fate of the Chelsea back line duo, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left as free agents.
The Blues management has so far brought in two players, namely Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
Chelsea will likely continue to add new players before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, 2022. But there is also the possibility of the club selling five of its main players.
Quoted by SportReviews from Sportsmole sources, the five players Chelsea are ready to drop are Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic.
In fact, it is widely reported that Azpilicueta and Alonso want to join Barcelona.
Azpilicueta spent 10 years at Chelsea and made 474 appearances in all competitions. He has 12 months left on his contract. Meanwhile, Alonso only has less than one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech has been linked with AC Milan and Manchester United. Milan have reportedly reopened talks over the possibility of acquiring the services of the Moroccan player.
Ziyech, who scored 14 goals in 83 games in all competitions for Chelsea, is fighting for his place as a regular. But his efforts so far have not been entirely successful so that the discourse of his move has surfaced.
If he joins Milan, he will be reunited with his former Chelsea team-mates, Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud. Werner is also struggling to get a place as a regular at Chelsea.
Tuchel also challenged him to get it. He still has three years left on his contract but he is willing to leave in order to make regular appearances ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
Even with Pulisic’s future which continues to be linked with his departure from Chelsea. He is a player who is wide open for sale after the club spent big money to sign Sterling.
Pulisic has also never started under Tuchel. Juventus and Milan are watching him.
That’s information about the 5 pillars of Chelsea who have received the green light to find a new club.
