Rhian Brewster is reportedly set for a loan away in the January transfer window. Brewster has just two first-team appearances, including a shoot-out EFL Cup over Arsenal in 2019/20 season.
Largely due to an injury crisis in the first-team, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has signaling he is willing to let the 19-year-old striker go in search the right club January.
“Maybe Rhian is the one, age-wise, experience-wise, if he had not been injured, he would already have been on a different level, but that is the situation and we constantly think of the situation for the boys.” Klopp said.
“He is very young, but still a bit advanced, but I don’t know, we don’t make decisions right now. If we do loan him then it 100 per cent needs to be the right club.
“They have all made steps here without playing Championship football week in and week out. They have all made massive steps here and Rhian’s was delayed because of that big injury he had.
“Neco (Williams), Curtis (Jones) and Harvey (Elliott) have made massive steps here without playing week in and week out. No decision has been made yet on the loan.” Klopp added.
Brewster has been at the Reds since and signed a contract with the club in 2018 despite carrying an ankle injury. He has been linked with Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Swansea City.
Liverpool to face Bournemouth on Saturday. The Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson has rule out for Cherries for Saturday’s matches in Dean Court Stadium.
When asked about Harry Wilson, Klopp admitted Wilson’s ability in front of goals has proven regularly crucial for Bournemouth in this season.
“I am happy he cannot play against us, to be honest. Each free-kick is a proper threat. But we were never in doubt about Harry’s shooting abilities, his skills in that part of the game are incredible, world-class, for sure.” Klopp said.
“But Harry is at Bournemouth to improve all the rest of his game as well, so being involved, being decisive, being between the lines, using his speed, all that stuff.
“He makes big steps there, that’s really important. They are not in the best run but even there, he scored two goals in the game before the last game, nice goals as well, not important enough at the end because they still lost but kept the game going.” Klopp added.
Wilson has already started 11 matches and the Wales international has already scored six goals for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season.
