Liverpool Confirm Federico Chiesa Transfer from Juventus

Premier League club Liverpool made an important announcement. They officially secured the services of Federico Chiesa from Juventus.

As is well known, Chiesa is in a less than ideal situation. He was asked to find a new club this summer because he is not included in Thiago Motta’s plans at Juventus.

Chiesa himself is not short of admirers. Many top European clubs are interested in securing the services of the Italian National Team player.

All speculation about Chiesa’s future has ended. The winger has been confirmed to join the Premier League club, Liverpool.

Through their official website, Liverpool announced Chiesa’s arrival to their team.

“Liverpool have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Federico Chiesa,” opened the official statement of The Reds.

“The 26-year-old has completed his medical and he has signed a long-term contract and he is ready to join The Reds squad,” concluded the official statement.

Separately, European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed details of Chiesa’s transfer.

Liverpool did not need to spend too much money to transfer the winger. They paid around 15 million Euros for the winger’s transfer, which amount included a number of add-ons.

On the other hand, Chiesa agreed to a four-year contract at Anfield. So he will defend The Reds until 2028.

Chiesa himself is Liverpool’s second recruit this summer.

Previously, the Merseyside team officially signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.

The presence of Federico Chiesa in the Liverpool squad was greeted with great enthusiasm by netizens, especially The Reds fans.

Chiesa’s presence was previously highly anticipated by Liverpool fans. And after the Italian player officially wore the Reds uniform, the fans were immediately carried away by joy.

They welcomed the versatile player with enthusiasm. Some said that Arne Slot’s troops now have excellent attacking depth. There were also those who warned other Premier League clubs to be careful when meeting Mohamed Salah et al.

Federico Chiesa flew from Turin to Merseyside on Wednesday (28/08/2024) yesterday. He landed at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool.

Before landing, Federico Chiesa admitted that he asked his wife to play the song YNWA. He did it spontaneously when he saw Anfield Stadium from the air.

“And I just want to say something that was ringing in my mind when I was about to land on the plane,” he said on Liverpool’s official website.

“I saw Anfield and as soon as I saw Anfield, I said to my wife, ‘Play that song, You’ll Never Walk Alone, because I want to imagine myself playing there and hearing the cheers of the fans.’ That’s just the fun part.”

Federico Chiesa was then asked what his reaction would be when he heard the song YNWA sung live at Anfield. He admitted that the hair on the back of his neck would stand up.

Chiesa then claimed that he was not the only one who would feel the same thing. He said that his family would also feel the same sensation.

“I will have goosebumps and it will be very emotional for me and my family,” Chiesa said.
