Premier League 2018/2019 matches enter the 29th week, a number of big matches and interesting matches occur last week. Starting from the North London Derby or North London Derby between Tottenham Hotspurs against Arsenal which ended in a 1–1 draw, it was followed by a Manchester United match which ended dramatically over Southampton with a final score of 3-2.
There is also Manchester City that won 1-0 after defeating the AFC Bournemouth home team thanks to a second-half Riyad Mahrez goal, besides that the match in the other London derby brought Fulham to Chelsea which was won by the Blues after two goals by Jorginho and Higuain, and Everton’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool which ended with a score without a goal 0-0.
And, with these results, Liverpool failed to shift the top of the standings, which is currently controlled by Manchester City with a value of 71 points. While Liverpool are in second place with a value of 70 points. It is interesting to see that again, Liverpool has slipped and failed to overtake the top of the table just like previous seasons.
While in third place there is Tottenham Hotspurs with a value of 61 points, for fourth place five and six is occupied by Manchester United with a value of 58 points, Arsenal with a value of 57 points, and Chelsea with a value of 56 points.
Henceforth, teams such as Tottenham Hotspurs will compete in the knockout Leg 2 phase of the last 16 when facing their opponent Borussia Dortmund. Previously Mauricio Pochettino’s men won victory in Leg 1 with a score of 3-0.
Meanwhile Manchester United will undergo a tough match when they travel to the Paris Saint Germain headquarters where the troops led by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be defeated in Leg 1 with a score of 0-2. As a result the Red Devil team must win with a score of 3-0. If they failed to do so, they will be kicked out of the championship.
Will Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United qualify and become a Premier League team that will step into the next round or will it be toppled? Will Manchester City or Liverpool secure their reigns in the upcoming weeks? We look forward to it.
