Liverpool has found its identity under manager Juergen Klopp who has worked hard to transform the Merseyside club into a genuine Premier League title contender this season, as per Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson. As per the current statistics Liverpool has already won nine of their 12 games in all competitions this season and is on third rank in the league behind leaders Manchester City only on goal difference.
Alex Ferguson, Manchester United’s boss said about Klopp that “He has done a really good job and revived Liverpool’s enthusiasm,” and then told British media that “It can happen that big clubs lose it. For two decades, Liverpool changed managers without building their own identity.
“You can now well and truly sense that you have to count them in this year. You can see Klopp’s dedication on the sideline; I’m convinced his work in training is similar. He’s a strong personality. That’s absolutely vital at a big club.
“I’m worried about him because the one thing United don’t want is Liverpool to get above us.”
Liverpool is all set to face Crystal Palace (11th ) at Selhurst park on Saturday.
Juergen Klopp is already known for its way of managing team and backing his players and recently he backed goalkeeper Karius to adapt quickly. Recently ahead of the last Saturday clash against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield Klopp said that Karius has adapted to the rigors of the Premier League. He further said “He is still a young boy but this is something different. The Premier League is a different style of play, generally and in a specific case,” Klopp told British media.
“It is not perfect. He can improve. As a keeper you take a risk sometimes because the ball is bouncing.”
But we are full of respect. West Brom is a very experienced team with a very experienced manager (Tony Pulis). They don’t want to make it easy for us so we have to find a way to play them. We need to be angry, that’s true, and be patient enough.
“We are ready for a real, tough football game. They are very good at set-pieces. We cannot choose their way and they cannot choose our way.”
