Moonton Games, the creator behind the phenomenal game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is ready to bring Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) globally on May 28, 2025. This global launch will coincide with the start of the game’s second season titled ‘Blessing of Embers’.
You already know that MCGG can be played in SEA including Indonesia since February 2025. Enthusiasm for MCGG is very high, and is proven by the 20 million pre-registrations recorded ahead of this global release, which confirms its position as one of the most anticipated mobile game titles in 2025.
MCGG is a free-to-play multiplayer strategy game that uses a chessboard as a battleground for eight players in player-versus-player (PvP) competition. Taking characters and elements from the MLBB universe, MCGG allows players to command their favorite MLBB heroes as strategists.
New features in Season 2, Blessing of Embers, will introduce new Synergies that grant various buffs during matches, as well as Blessing mechanics that add a deep layer of strategy to gameplay.
Prior to the global launch, MCGG held its first esports event in the APAC region, the Magic Chess: Go Go Indonesia Community Tournament (MCCT ID). The tournament successfully invited 512 players to compete for a total prize pool of $5,100.

The global launch of MCGG marks an important phase of growth for MOONTON Games in developing the global gaming and esports ecosystem. This move is in line with MOONTON’s global strategy restructuring, such as the transfer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s US publishing operations to Skystone, following the game’s temporary ban earlier this year.
In addition, for this year’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup, Japan will once again be the national representative, and Vietnam will receive an official slot for the first time, demonstrating MOONTON’s expanding market reach and community internationally.
