Maldini believes AC Milan will end the long awaited Scudetto famine since 2010-2011

AC Milan legend, Paolo Maldini, confirmed that the club nicknamed the Rossoneri can always win the Scudetto or the Serie A title, the highest caste of the Italian League. Maldini gave the statement to answer public questions.

AC Milan is considered difficult to win the Scudetto even though it has a good chance in the 2021-22 season. AC Milan has just reaped good results for beating Lazio with a score of 2-1 on Monday (25/4/2022).

Paolo Maldini as the club’s technical director is very happy. The former AC Milan captain believes the Rossoneri will be able to steal the Italian League title in 2021-2022, although many people doubt it. “I am very proud of what the team, staff and everyone gave to the fans,” said Paolo Maldini, quoted by from Football Italia.

“This spirit is at the core of our work, which makes us happy and creates great sensations. In a season like this, the aim is to do our best. We have to aim as high as possible. At the start of the season, many didn’t think we would be this high, but we have to use that as further motivation.”

“The stats are clear. In order to stay here and maintain this level, we must also maintain the same spirit of sacrifice. We’re here because we always believe … even when we don’t always announce it, we always don’t believe it. We can’t make this seem like a shallow target.”

“In the last 20 years, Milan have only won the Scudetto twice, so that would be a great result. When you have the opportunity you have to give it your all. If things don’t go well, at least you know you tried your best.”

During the visit to Lazio’s headquarters, AC Milan was in a tight position because they were left behind by Ciro Immobile’s goal in the 4th minute. In the second half, Milan equalized the score through the action of Olivier Giroud in the 50th minute. During the 90+2 minute of injury time, Sandro Tonalli scored the winning goal.

An additional three points from this match made AC Milan return to the top of the Serie A standings with 74 points. They shifted the position of city rivals, Inter Milan. If you want to keep your hopes of winning the Serie A title after a famine since 2010-2011, AC Milan must be able to win the next match against Fiorentina in week 35, Sunday (1/5/2022).
