Manchester United legend Gary Pallister fully supports the efforts of his former club management to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. For Pallister, Man United really need a player like Kane in their squad.
As is known, Kane’s future with Tottenham has been heavily speculated in recent months. Tottenham’s inability to compete for trophies was allegedly the main reason Kane wanted to leave.
While in the 2020-2021 season alone, Tottenham again failed to win the title. Because Tottenham have been eliminated from the four competitions they have participated in this season. Most recently they lost to Manchester City in the 2020-2021 English League Cup final.
Tottenham’s inability to compete for the title could even cost them an important player like Kane. Moreover, Kane himself has reportedly asked Tottenham management to release him in the 2021 summer transfer market.
Since then, Kane’s name has begun to be associated with several top European clubs. These clubs include Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Man United, and Man City.
So far it is Man United who are reportedly the most serious interested in signing Kane. Moreover, Man United really need a quality center forward to increase their level of play next season.
Man United’s plan to land Kane from Tottenham was fully supported by Pallister. Yes, Pallister thinks that Kane is a player that Man United really needs at the moment.
“Listen, Harry Kane is up for grabs, right? It would be a statement if Manchester United could get him,” Pallister explained, as reported by The Guardian, Friday (4/6/2021).
“For me Man City are the favourites, Harry has spoken about how he would like to play with De Bruyne, so we have a good idea of what he thinks. But if Manchester United can sign him, that would be a great statement,” continued the 55-year-old man.
Even so, Man United’s hopes of being able to quickly get Kane seems to be difficult. The reason, Kane himself is reportedly only going to decide his future after the upcoming European Cup 2020.
